Katy Bobin is a Senior Technical Specialist at SDDirect, providing Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning expertise to the Resource and Support Hub (RSH). Katy brings 15 years of experience in the international development and humanitarian aid sector. She has a wealth of experience, having worked across NGOs, UN agencies, funders, including nearly six years at the Disasters Emergency Committee. She is passionate about learning and improvement and well connected to global accountability initiatives.
She sits on an advisory group overseeing the redrafting of the ALNAP guidance on using the OECD DAC evaluation criteria when applied to humanitarian action. She is also on the UK government’s Civilian Stabilisation Group (CSG) roster as a deployable civilian expert in monitoring and evaluation.
She has a BA in Sociology with African and Asian Studies and an MA in Human Rights from the University of Sussex.
Outside of work, Katy enjoys spending time in nature and in the company of her friends, family, and two rescue dogs.
