Jenny is a seasoned professional in international development with extensive expertise in business development, strategic planning, and partnership cultivation. In her role as Deputy Head of Business Development, Jenny plays a pivotal role in driving growth, forging impactful partnerships, and advancing organisational goals in diverse global contexts. She manages business development opportunities for SDDirect across a range of clients, including FCDO, UN agencies, International Financial Institutions and foundations, with a specific focus on Gender-based violence (GBV) and Safeguarding.
With over 10 years of experience in the international development sector, Jenny has consistently demonstrated the ability to identify emerging opportunities, secure funding, and build sustainable initiatives that create meaningful impact.
Prior to joining SDDirect, Jenny worked with CARE International UK, where she was responsible for institutional fundraising, working closely with CARE country offices and global technical teams, coordinating and developing large and complex high-quality bids across various thematic areas including: women’s economic empowerment, sexual and reproductive health, GBV, climate change adaptation and resilience as well as inclusive governance.
Jenny has a MSc in International Development with a focus on gender and women’s economic empowerment from SOAS, London.
