Emma is Associate Director of Programmes at SDDirect. Working as part of the executive management team, Emma provides leadership and oversight on all corporate support services across the business. Emma’s day to day work is as Team Leader on the Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub programme.
Emma has over ten years of experience designing, managing, and implementing social development projects for the UK Government and other international donors and organisations. Emma previously worked with Plan International UK, managing the Girls Education Challenge through the Ebola and post-Ebola transition period in Sierra Leone. She brings a wide range of project delivery experience working and living in Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Malawi.
Emma has a Master’s degree from the University of Edinburgh in Africa and International Development with concentrations in Social Development. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Reading in Sociology.
